I was born and raised in North Canton, Ohio, home of the Hoover vacuum cleaner and down the street from the National Football Hall of Fame. After attending Mount Union College, I worked for two years as a CPA for Touche Ross & Co. in Akron, Ohio.  I obtained my law degree and love of basketball from the

University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. In 1985, I moved

to the South Bay and Southern California, where I worked

for Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard, and Smith for 16 years, as a

partner and litigator.

 

I met my husband Tim in law school. We married in 1993

and have 4 children. Our oldest, Alex, graduated in 2019

from UNC and currently works for the Carolina Panthers,

his favorite childhood team. Anna is a sophomore studying

animal science and anthropology at UC Davis. Rachel is a

sophomore at NYU, where she studies art and childhood

and adolescent mental health.  Jonathan is a senior at Mira

Costa High School. He hopes to move on to college next year

and study mechanical engineering.
